Description
A very cool and unique Uganda coffee bean, which comes out very different tasting from the normal washed process offering. For the double washed process, basically the fruit is picked and partially dried in the cherry. After it drys a bit the beans go through a pulper and put into the ferment tanks to loosen the mucilage on the beans for approximately 24 hours. Another quick wash and they hit the tank again for another 12 hours before heading out to the patios to dry. This bean is considered to be very fruity for a washed process coffee. More of the coffee bean’s cherry tones and melon-strawberry-like notes can be detected. It’s not quite as wild as a fermenty natural, but the more refined cup mixing with a smooth chocolaty factor makes for quite an awesome cup of java.
Varietal Flavors: Cherry, Melon, Strawberry, Chocolaty
