We enjoy using traditional methods passed down from generations of master roasters to perfect our beans. In fact, some of the equipment we use is made from German metal from the early and mid-1900s, which is superior in quality to modern metal, and provides more precise control over roasting temperatures. This allows us to further craft the beans during the roasting process, which helps each coffee bean reach its full potential.

We verify farm and working conditions with a combination of methods, including third-party certifications. Farms providing verifiable healthcare for worker families and schooling for worker children are sought out and favored. Despite claims by third parties, we understand that fair labor wages are more difficult to verify; however, we continue to progress toward complete transparency with all of our suppliers and partners.
